| What is ICS? |
| The Identity Confirmation System (ICS) is an essential part of the TrueCredit Web site because it protects
your privacy by ensuring that your credit report can only be viewed by YOU. |
| |
| ICS confirms your identity through a series of questions based on accounts and personal information contained
in your credit report. Here's how it works: |
| - You select the question you'd like to answer. If you cannot provide the answer, you can go back and choose
a different question to answer. |
| - As you submit your answers, that information is compared with the information in your credit report. |
| - If you need to leave the site to look up some information, you can safely logout and come back later at any
time. |
| - When enough correct information about you has been confirmed, you will have access to your online credit
report. |
| - If your identity cannot be confirmed, you will be given instructions about how to continue. |

| |
| Is the ICS process really necessary? |
| The protection of your security and privacy are of utmost importance to us. ICS is a powerful fraud
protection tool because it asks questions that can only be answered by the person who is the subject of
the credit reportwithout it, an unauthorized party could obtain your most private credit information. |

| |
| I'm entering accurate information. Why won't ICS confirm my identity? |
| ICS uses specific information contained in your credit report, and sometimes this information has not been
recently updated, or the information is inaccurate. Depending on which area of ICS you encountered this
problem, there are some tips you can try that might help you to pass ICS successfully. |
| |
| ProblemPersonal Address History |
| ICS asks you to enter the street where you lived, in a particular city and on a certain date. You're sure
that you have entered the correct information, but ICS rejects it. |
| Tip: |
| Try entering your street address during the general time period given. For example, try entering the street
address from the city and state you resided in before or after the given date. |
| |
| ProblemEmployment History |
| ICS asks you to enter the name of the company you worked for, based on the location and date of that
employment. You're sure that you have submitted the correct information, but ICS rejects it. |
| Tip: |
| Try entering an employer's name from the general time period or location given. For example, try submitting
the name of the company you worked for before or after the given date or location. Also, be sure that
you've entered the employer's full name and not just a shortened version. |
| |
| ProblemYear of Birth |
| You've just submitted your year of birth, but ICS rejects it. |
| Tip: |
| ICS only needs your YEAR of birth (for example, 1958). Check to make sure that you haven't inadvertently
entered the month or day of your birth. Review the year you have submitted for correctness. |
| |
| ProblemRevolving Accounts |
| You have just submitted a credit card or department store account number, based on the name of an account
given, but ICS rejects it. |
| Tip: |
| Sometimes these account numbers can be many digits in length, making it easy to enter the number
incorrectly. Please check to make sure that the number you have submitted corresponds exactly to the
number on your credit card or account statementyou may omit all spaces and dashes. |
| |
| ProblemInstallment Accounts |
| You have just submitted a loan account number, based on the name of an account given, but ICS rejects it.
This usually means that you've entered the number incorrectly. |
| Tip: |
| Check to make sure that the number you have entered corresponds exactly to the number of your loan account,
and then make the necessary corrections. |

| What if I've tried everything, and ICS still cannot confirm my identity? |
| Please contact the Customer Service Team. Sometimes they are able to see things in the data that the ICS
automatic system cannot. |
| |
| A Customer Service Team member will attempt to confirm your identity by asking you questions about your
credit history. Once your identity has been confirmed, the representative will immediately make your
credit report available for you to view online. |

| |
| What is a Tracking Code? |
| A Tracking Code is an assigned series of letters or numbers linked to the display of your online credit
report. When ICS cannot confirm your identity, it assumes that someone else is attempting to view your
credit information without your authorization. In order to protect your security and privacy, your
credit report cannot be displayed. |
| |
| After two business days, a Tracking Code will be mailed to you in a security mailer to the
address listed on your credit report. A Tracking Code is mailed only when ICS cannot confirm your identity
and you have made no attempt to contact the Customer Service Team for assistance. |
| |
| If you do not want a Tracking Code mailed to you, it is important that you contact the Customer Service
Team within two business days. They may be able to confirm your identity and show you your online credit
report right away. |

| |
| Why does the Tracking Code have to be mailed to me? |
| Since ICS assumes that there has been an unauthorized attempt to view your credit report, our security
policy requires that the owner of the report be notified by mail. The notification is mailed to the
address listed on the credit report and a partial view of this address is displayed when you
receive the notice that the mailing of a Tracking Code is scheduled. |
